Model Sixes are serious speakers with natural, accurate, balanced sound, as well as the frequency range and power handling to satisfy serious listeners. This system boasts a crossover frequency of 20Hz, much lower than many other two-way designs. This ensures smooth, uncolored upper mid-range with wide dispersion. Such a low crossover frequency wouldn't work with conventional tweeters. But the Model Six system's tweeter suspension allows the "long throws" necessary for music in this range.

The 8-inch woofer cone is larger than those usually found in speakers this size, allowing the Model Sixes to move substantial amounts of air at low frequencies for accurate extended bass. Most important, however, is how Henry Kloss "voiced" the system, carefully fine-tuning the octave-to-octave balance.
