DENVER, CO, September 13, 2006 - Cambridge
SoundWorks® unveiled two complete personal music systems that
can connect to an iPod, ZEN, or other MP3 player, at the CEDIA
EXPO in Denver, Colorado today (Booth #579). The company's
new high performance table radios, the SoundWorks® Radio 735
and SoundWorks Radio CD 745, offer consumers the convenience
and capability of attaching a dock for iPods, ZENs or other
MP3 players, an AM/FM radio, CD/MP3-CD player (SoundWorks
CD 745 only), and more. The retail price is $299.99 and $399.99
for the complete iPod bundle, which includes an iPod player
dock and single remote which controls radio functions as well
as iPod Navigation. The ZEN dock is available separately.
Cambridge SoundWorks is a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative
Technology Ltd (Nasdaq: CREAF).
"When we initially introduced our SoundWorks Radio line,
we set the bar in terms of sound quality, features and design
for the high performance table radio category," said Rob Mainiero,
general manager of Cambridge SoundWorks. "Today's consumers
are looking for solutions that address all their audio needs
and listening preferences. Our new SoundWorks Radios are complete
audio packages. They're great sounding, great looking and
versatile enough to please virtually everyone - iPod users,
AM/FM radio lovers, or those simply looking for one amazing
clock radio."
Complete, Personal Music Systems
Both the SoundWorks Radio 735 and SoundWorks Radio CD 745
offer a robust set of features which truly qualify them as
complete music systems. For iPod users, a dock which charges
the player is included in the complete radio bundle. A single
remote which controls radio functions as well as iPod Navigation
is also provided. The ZEN dock is available separately. Both
models feature an AM/FM tuner with superb reception, display
of RDS information (when available) and 24 presets. The SoundWorks
Radio CD 745 plays standard CDs or MP3-encoded CDs.
The SoundWorks Radios' convenient "AUX" input enables users
to connect other audio sources. Programmable bass and treble
controls adjust tonal balance for personal tastes. The radios
also feature dual alarms for those who want a superior clock
radio.
Music at its best!
The SoundWorks Radio 735 and SoundWorks Radio CD 745 reproduce
music at its best - whether listening to digital music stored
on an MP3 player, AM/FM radio, or CD/MP3-CDs. The SoundWorks
Radios use Cambridge SoundWorks' award-winning, signature
2.1 speaker design, including built-in powered subwoofer.
Driven by a frequency-contoured amplifier, the subwoofer provides
deep and accurate bass response that no other table radio
can match.
