Cambridge SoundWorks and Harpoon Brewery
Enter into Marketing Partnership
New England-based Retailers to Host
Sampling Events, Contests
MA, March 10, 2004 - Audio manufacturer and retailer, Cambridge SoundWorks®,
and The Harpoon Brewery, New England's largest craft brewer, have entered
into a joint marketing partnership that will extend benefits to their
customers. Cambridge SoundWorks is a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative
Technology Ltd (Nasdaq: CREAF).
Starting today, both companies will begin to present customers with sampling and
promotional offers on their respective brands. The companies will host
private sampling events, joint promotions and will also support each other's
programs via in-store and in-box merchandising programs.
"Cambridge SoundWorks and Harpoon Brewery are two locally based, mid-size
companies that can work together to grow our customer bases," said Laurie
Fearing, Director of Marketing, Cambridge SoundWorks. "This partnership
is a nice fit for both of our customers who enjoy and appreciate a quality
product. Cambridge SoundWorks sells quality sound and video and Harpoon
makes a quality beer. In short, great beer deserves great sound."
The companies will launch their joint initiative with Harpoon Brewery's
UFO Sightings promotion. UFO Sightings is a multifaceted promotional program
that is meant to establish UFO Hefeweizen as the leading brand in the
New England hefeweizen category. Consumers are invited to take a photo(s)
depicting a UFO Hefeweizen experience and post it on the UFO website.
Photos will be voted on and a winning photographer from each New England
state will be presented with Cambridge SoundWorks' award-winning home
theater systems. The UFO Sightings program will run from April 1st, 2004
through June 11, 2004.
