Cambridge SoundWorks Introduces Playdock PD200, Compact Speaker System For Creative's NOMAD Jukebox

CES - Las Vegas, NV - January 5, 2001 - Cambridge SoundWorks® (CSW), a multi-channel audio and video manufacturer and retailer, today announced the introduction of the Cambridge SoundWorks' PlayDock? PD200, a compact, transportable amplified speaker for Creative's NOMAD® Jukebox. The first speaker system to be developed specifically for a portable digital audio device, PlayDock PD200 expands the functionality of the NOMAD Jukebox from a personal music system to a portable, multi-user audio system. The PlayDock PD200 will retail for $199.99. The PlayDock PD200 is an easy way for NOMAD Jukebox owners to play music at home and on excursions. A simple "push" action attaches the NOMAD Jukebox (in the provided protective "glove") to the sturdy platform at the top of the speaker. An integral grip in the speaker allows it to be carried with one hand (while playing, if desired). A rechargeable battery housed inside the PD200 offers approximately ten hours of music. The PD200 houses three speakers - a left and right main speaker plus an extra bass speaker to provide the wide-range sound Cambridge SoundWorks is famous for. When AC power is available, a power adapter is also provided to play the unit and recharge the batteries inside both the PD200 and the NOMAD Jukebox.
