How does the Cambridge SoundWorks Affiliate Network work?
We provide you with links to direct customers from your site to Cambridge SoundWorks. When a customer directed from your site buys from our site, we pay you a 5% commission. Joining the Cambridge SoundWorks Affiliate Network is simple -- and it's a fun and easy way to make your website more profitable.

Cambridge SoundWorks handles all the heavy lifting. We process the orders, keep track of inventory, ship the products, and provide customer service and support. Best of all, you don't have to be an accountant (or hire one) to join our team! Our centralized reporting provides you with sales and site traffic reports, along with records of how much you've earned on sales at Cambridge SoundWorks. At the end of each month, we send you a check for a percentage of all the sales you referred to our site.

Will Cambridge SoundWorks promote my site?
We'd like to promote all of our affiliates' sites. Unfortunately, there are just too many to do so.

Affiliate Support

What support do Affiliates receive?
Cambridge SoundWorks will provide you with the tools and support you need to make the most of your site. We process all orders, ship all products, handle customers service, and pay your commissions. We will provide you with complete, detailed records of your sales and commissions, along with site use statistics and suggestions for increasing your Cambridge SoundWorks commissions. If you need additional support, you can contact us any time at Affiliates@cambridgesoundworks.com.

Can I use the Cambridge SoundWorks logo, tagline, and name on my site?
Yes. Feel free to use our logo, tagline, and reference our site as you deem most effective on your site, so long as it complies with the requirements of the affiliate contract. For example, you cannot alter the graphics or wording in any way.

Can I update my links whenever I want?
Yes.

What Cambridge SoundWorks pages can I link to?
You can create links to our home page. Complete (and easy) instructions for creating links will be provided to all affiliates.

Joining the Cambridge SoundWorks Affiliate Network

Am I eligible to become a Cambridge SoundWorks Affiliate?
If you have a Web site of your own that is LIVE at the time of your application, you're welcome to apply. We review each Web site carefully, both before and after it is approved. We do reserve the right to refuse to approve a site or to revoke a site's membership any time if we deem it contains or links to objectionable material. Examples of objectionable material include: pornography, explicit language or content, violence, hate speech, promotion of illegal activities, violation of intellectual property rights or laws, and material that is libelous, defamatory or disparaging. We also reserve the right to refuse or revoke membership to sites with little or no original content, or that are no longer live.

What does it cost to be a Affiliate?
Nothing. You will receive commission on any sales, as outlined in the Affiliate Agreement. You will never be charged a fee for your participation.

My site is based outside the US. Can I become an Affiliate?
Yes. Cambridge SoundWorks does not currently ship to locations outside of the United States. But we're happy to accept Affiliates who are not based in the US. If your site is located outside the US, it's important that you include a notice of such near your Cambridge SoundWorks links so your customers are aware of the shipping limitation. You should also note that payments for merchandise at Cambridge SoundWorks must be in U.S. dollars. All commission checks are made payable in U.S. dollars.

Tracking, Payment, and Reports

How do you track and credit orders and commissions credited to my site?
All links from your site to ours include a unique ID. This ID allows us to identify customers coming from your site and to credit you if they make a purchase. All sales such customers make within the same session will be assigned to you. It is essential that all links on your site be created according to the exact instructions we provide. If the links are not made according to these exact instructions, your sales (and your commissions) may not be tracked correctly.

Can I take Cambridge SoundWorks orders on my site?
No. In order to provide optimal service to our customers as well as to accurately track your sales and commissions, we must process all orders ourselves.

Can I buy products at Cambridge SoundWorks through my own site?
Yes. You and anyone you know can purchase via your site. All completed sales will result in commissions for you.

How much commission will I earn for sales that originate from my site?
We will pay you a 5% commission on all sales of consumer electronics and home entertainment products that occur during a linked session from your site to www.cambridgesoundworks.com. We will not pay you a commission if we cannot track the link back to your site or if a customer accesses our site without using a link from your site. Commissions are based on gross sales less credits for returned goods, taxes (if any), duties, gift wrapping, shipping and handling (if any), credit card fraud, and bad debt charges.

When will I receive my commission check?
We will pay you after each calendar month. We will send you a check in full for all the commissions we owe you.

How can I check my sales and commissions records?
You can always check your sales, commissions, and site statistics through your Linkshare affiliate Interface.
